In 2018, the Asia-Pacific CEO Association, Worldwide (APCEO), a well-known international economic cooperation organization, and the Changsha Municipal People’s Government jointly decided to co-host the Global High-End Manufacturing Summit on a long-term basis. The first Global High-End Manufacturing Summit was successfully held in Changsha in May 2019. High-profile guests from 60 countries and regions attended, including representatives of Fortune Global 500 companies, the Global Top 100 High-End Manufacturing Companies, listed companies worldwide, 100 leading fintech companies ranked by Forbes, Chinese central state-owned enterprises, China’s Top 500 Enterprises, China’s Top 500 Private Enterprises, as well as executives of many multinational companies, international officials, and renowned experts and scholars. The 2nd Global High-End Manufacturing Cooperation Summit (2025) was again successfully held in Changsha in May 2025. Distinguished guests from 65 countries and regions once again gathered in Changsha, the Star City, including representatives of Fortune Global 500 companies, Forbes Global 2000 companies, Chinese central state-owned enterprises, China’s Top 500 Enterprises, China’s Top 500 Private Enterprises, listed companies from around the world, multinational corporations, international research institutions, government leaders from various countries, leading companies in global industrial chains, innovative enterprises, enterprises and institutions with clear intentions to cooperate, and executives of international sponsors. At each previous summit, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee who also served as Secretary of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee, representing the host city, personally met with leaders of the international organizer and distinguished guests, attended the opening ceremony, and declared the summit open. The first two summits brought together 1,200 senior representatives from 87 countries across political, business, academic, and other sectors. In 2026, the Global High-End Manufacturing Cooperation Summit was officially included in the “Changsha Key Conference Development Program,” which receives long-term support from the Changsha Municipal Government. The Global High-End Manufacturing Cooperation Summit is becoming an international cooperation platform with the greatest concentration of resources, the widest reach, and the most significant cooperation outcomes in global high-end manufacturing. |
